Dr. Alexander Avila is the the creator of the revolutionary LoveTypes^® system and the author of LoveTypes: Discover Your Romantic Style and Find Your Soul Mate (Avon Books, Valentine's Day, 1999). During the past seven years, Dr.Avila has presented his cutting-edge LoveType system to students throughout Southern California and has helped many formerly frustrated singles achieve happy and successful relationships.

A popular college professor, public speaker, and relationship authority, Dr. Avila holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology as well as a doctorate in jurisprudence. In addition, he is the co-founder of the California School of Professional Psychology Media Psychology Group, and he is active in several professional psychology associations.

Dr. Avila has been featured on local and national radio, TV, and print, including CBS and ABC news, Woman to Woman-CBS, Great Day America, KFI Radio, Catholic Family Radio Network; Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Woman's World, Latina, and Today's Black Woman magazines.
